Choosing the right food for your pet isn’t always straightforward. With so many options, opinions, and marketing claims, it can be difficult to know what truly supports long-term health. As a veterinarian, I see this confusion every day and it’s why I’m so passionate about helping pet owners make more informed choices.

A Vet Driven by Care, Experience, and Real Life
I’m a companion animal veterinarian based in Sydney, with over 15 years of clinical experience. Outside of the clinic, I’m a busy mum and spend as much time as I can outdoors with my family and my Hungarian Vizsla, Albus.
My connection to both animals and nature has always shaped how I think about health grounded in balance, wellbeing, and prevention.

Why Nutrition Is at the Heart of Pet Health
Through years of hands-on experience, I’ve seen just how much of a difference diet can make. I truly believe that nutrition is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent disease and support overall wellbeing in our pets.
At the same time, I understand how difficult the pet food landscape can be to navigate. There’s a lot of conflicting advice, clever marketing, and unclear labelling, which can make it hard to feel confident in your choices.
That’s why I always come back to a simpler, science-led approach.
What Good Nutrition Looks Like
For me, a strong nutritional foundation is built on a few key principles:
- High-quality, natural ingredients
- Minimal processing
- High meat content
- Balanced, complete diets that reflect a pet’s evolutionary needs
A Shared Commitment to Better Food
This philosophy is what led me to partner with K9 Natural and Feline Natural.
Their focus on wholefood nutrition, high meat diets, and human-grade ingredients closely aligns with my values as a veterinarian. I’m particularly drawn to their use of nutrient-rich ingredients like green mussels sourced from New Zealand.
Through both my clinical work and feeding these diets to my own dog, I’ve seen the benefits firsthand not only in terms of nutrition, but in how much pets genuinely enjoy their food.
Looking Beyond the Bowl: Ethical Sourcing
For me, pet nutrition doesn’t stop at ingredients it also includes where those ingredients come from.
I believe we have a responsibility to think more consciously about the welfare of all animals involved in the food supply chain. That means supporting practices like free-range farming, grass-fed livestock, and sustainably sourced seafood.
It’s a more thoughtful way of feeding our pets one that considers the bigger picture.
Safety You Can Trust
As a veterinarian, food safety is always front of mind.
While raw feeding can offer benefits, I also recognize that it needs to be handled carefully. Some raw diets can carry risks if they’re not properly tested and controlled.
That’s why I value brands that take safety seriously meeting nutritional standards and rigorously testing both ingredients and finished products. It gives me confidence, and it gives pet owners peace of mind too.
A Better Future for Pet Nutrition
For me, improving pet health comes down to three key things: better nutrition, informed choices, and a more conscious approach to where food comes from.
By combining science, transparency, and strong values, I believe we can raise the standard of pet nutrition helping our pets live healthier lives while giving owners confidence in every bowl they serve.
