Freeze-Dried Feeding Guide

Freeze-Dried Feeding Guide

How to feed

Freeze-dried food delivers complete and balanced nutrition in its most concentrated form. By gently removing the water, we preserve the natural goodness of a fresh, high-meat diet without the need for freezing or refrigeration.

The result is a nutrient-dense meal that’s easy to portion, simple to serve, and highly palatable for dogs. K9 Natural Freeze-Dried is flexible and easy to use; it can be fed on its own as a complete meal or added to existing food as a nutritional boost.

Feeding Options

1. Complete & Balanced Meal

Serve dry or rehydrated. For rehydration, we recommend mixing 1 cup of food with ¼ cup of warm water. Warm water should feel comfortable when tested on the back of your hand.

2. Tasty Topper

Simply sprinkle K9 Natural Freeze-Dried over your dog’s usual meal to enhance taste and increase nutrient content. Topping is a great way to introduce freeze-dried nutrition to your dog's diet.

Adult Feeding Guide

Use a standard 8oz (240ml) cup to measure. These amounts are a daily guide and may need to be adjusted by +/- 50% depending on age, breed, and activity level.

Puppies & Nursing Dogs: Feed 2–3 times the adult amount per day. Note: Large breed puppies (70lb+) should wait until fully grown before transitioning to Freeze-Dried diets.

Every dog is different. Body condition, not the bowl, is the best guide. Monitor your dog’s weight and adjust accordingly.
